My coaching career began in the 1970s with corporate training and career counseling.  Since then, I have become a certified Kripalu yoga and a meditation teacher, including iRest® yoga nidra.  It was here, through yoga, that my fascination with mind-body connection began.  I became a certified Reiki practitioner, have done course work in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and have added a certification in hypnosis from Paul McKenna.  Through that training, I discovered Havening Techniques®.

I am avidly interested in the amazing ways the brain chages and adapts, both through our experiences and our own actions, and in the impact of these changes on health and wellness and in transforming the experiences that seem to “stick with us”.  Deliberate action can meaningfully improve the quality of our lives.

As the mother of children who had difficult school years, I have an understanding of the challenges this brings to both the children and their families.  Whether it’s a health challenge, a learning difference or bullying, a lot of the things kids who are walking their own paths experience can dramatically alter their lives, as can the isolation that often accompanies difference.  Taking deliberate action can be transformative and empowering, both in overcoming challenges and in building a stronger way forward.

My training in Havening Techniques
® has greatly expanded my understanding of neurology and in the brain’s responses to life events, to the way we learn — and unlearn, the way we think, what we say to ourselves and to others and in the way it responds to the deliberate action we take in order to make changes in our lives.

Having made radical changes in my own life, I am especially interested in working with people in transition.  Whether it is imposed upon us or chosen, change can be tricky.  Again, deliberate action can be helpful in managing transitions, gaining insights and deeper meaning, in discovering new directions and in achieving goals and attaining higher levels of performance.

I look forward to talking to you to see how I might help.
